The Friday Five: Vol. 5

Skincare was never something I paid much attention to. If I am being honest, I didn’t have a routine until I entered my 30s. I didn’t have troubled skin and would categorize my skin as balanced/dry. While watching a recent YouTube video from The Financial Diet, I finally found tangible advice that was easy to follow. know what you are thinking- “what can I learn from a financial video about skincare?” Don’t worry- I’ll be sure to explain it. Let’s jump in!

Morning Skincare

Summer Fridays CC Serum

I love how easy this step is and how much brighter my skin looks for using it. Start your morning prep with a CC serum to brighten your skin in a gentle and easy way. I do this step after cleansing and before my daily moisturizer. Linked here.

Elemis Pro Collagen Marine Cream SPF 30

The consistency of this lotion is thick enough to give great moisture but light enough to wear under makeup. The added benefit of a daily sunscreen is just one extra step I get to skip by having this two in one lotion. Linked here.

Nighttime Skincare

Sunday Riley A+ Retinol

A little goes a long way with the retinol treatment. I use this mainly on my forehead for fine lines and apply it using a brush. I have very sensitive skin especially around my eyes so I have to be very careful when applying this. I use half a pump as the first step in my skincare routine after removing my makeup. Farmacy Honey Halo Cream

This lotion is absolutely delightful. Its thick and cream which my dry skin loves! It is lightly scented like fresh sweet honey and it nourishes my under eyes so I can skip the eye cream. I wear this all over my face and neck as the last step in my nighttime skincare routine. I love this so much I ordered the travel size so that no matter where I am, I will not be without! LAWLESS Forget the Filler Mask

Whether it is day or night- a good lip mask is a must all year round. I like this one from LAWLESS because it hydrates my lips while giving a natural plumping tingle affect. It is a neutral shade of pink that can be worn while sleeping or awake. Linked here.

This stripped down skincare routine is the easiest one I have followed in a long time.
