As I sat down to write this, (and by sat down I mean I am cozied up in a mountain of pillows on my bed) I tried to think of all the things that sum me up. Who I am, what I like to do, my interests and personal life. I didn’t think I’d be able to come up with 10 things but shockingly, I had many more. I’ll share the first 10 now and will share more through out this journey. In no specific order, here are a few things about me:
My first job out of high school was working at a hardware store. What all started as a joke, quickly became reality when I had applied and got hired within the same afternoon. I cried for hours. Why? Because I never thought in a million years that they would hire me. This turned out to be one of the best jobs I ever had… I usually share this because I find it to be the most shocking. Like- even 11 years later I still feel surprised.
I am the youngest of three children. Growing up, I was very much the annoying little sister. I tagged along on all of my sister’s play dates, broke or lost many of my siblings toys and often nagged, screamed, and cried. Thank goodness my siblings put up with me long enough to have amazing relationships at this stage in life.

My favorite book growing up was The Great Gatsby. I loved the hopelessly sad love story and the movies that followed it. I still dream of attending a party like Gatsby’s someday (perhaps when I get married). The book I enjoyed most recently was The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F***. If you have not picked it up yet or are looking for something new, I wholeheartedly suggest you try it.

I studied fashion in college. It was so fun and I got to work with some very talented classmates. I’ve always had an eye for fashion and love for shopping so now I mostly do it for fun. I didn’t end up in the fashion industry professionally…

I work from home full time for a fortune 100 company. I love my job and the many people I get to work with. My position allows me to coach and develop new hires and tenured representatives. Everyday there’s a new opportunity for me to learn and grow.

I love to be outside and take pictures. As part of my undergrad, I took a photography class and loved it! It’s definitely something I want to invest more time in.

My favorite color to wear is black. With a closet full of color, I always gravitate towards black. The last time I counted: I own 30 little black dresses.

I am an auntie to 5 beautiful children. There is nothing better than seeing your friends and family grow and being able to share in raising little ones. I love all the snuggles, giggles and fun while still sleeping peacefully through the night.

I have an affinity for all things about the Kennedys. I have loved learning about them my whole life, especially Jackie O. I have visited many museums, own many books and watched (probably) everything ever produced about their family.

When I was little, I wanted to be a “movie star and makeup girl.” I loved playing with and wearing makeup, dancing, singing and acting. I still love to play around with products, play “dress up” and sing (mostly in the car alone or in the shower.) My techniques and choice in products have bettered with age!

Just a few, 10 to be exact, things I felt you might want to know about me. These are the most random facts that a close friend or family member might be able to rattle off and- since you are here, we might as well get on that level.
Now, take a moment to admire my Dorothy Hamel hair cut that my parents thought was the cutest thing ever.
