A Very 4th of July at Old Navy

I can’t be the only one who thinks its preposterous that the 4th of July is this weekend. What on earth happened to June? No matter what your plans are this coming holiday, I have you covered. When it comes to classic, all American style at a great price, I shop Old Navy. When I shop for pieces in my wardrobe I always think about their lifecycle in my closet. I look for timeless pieces that can easily mix and match with what I already own and pieces I know I’ll wear far beyond the current season. There is still time to order and have these looks in time for the weekend- you can order online and pick up in store, enjoy contactless curbside pickup (at many participating location) or have these items shipped straight to your door ( my favorite option). With the 4th of July just around the corner, I figured there was no better time to snag a few patriotic must haves for this season and beyond.

Look One

The first look is the perfect mix of easy summer style with a sporty, flirty twist. I am loving a classic white sneaker paired with a dress that has a little movement in the skirt. Add a denim jacket for when the summer nights cool down.

Look Two

This one is easily my favorite. I love the Old Navy Luxe tanks and knew that this one was a no brainer. I grabbed this one and fingers crossed- it’ll be here in time! With a statement piece like the flag tank, its a buy once and keep from year to year type of thing. The style isn’t too trendy to the point where it will look dated by next summer. I paired it with my favorite white denim. I have been obsessing over this pair because of the many length options (for petite girls like me), zero show through (I HATE when you can see through white fabrics) and overall fit of the jeans. Add a cute sandal and you are BBQ ready!

Look Three

You cannot go wrong with a striped crewneck sweatshirt in the summer or really, any time of year. A great thing about Old Navy is they often bring back and restockpieces from past seasons. I own this sweatshirt already so it was easy to pair it with my favorite high waisted leggings. There are plenty of cool nights to be enjoyed by the beach, fire pit or curled up on the couch. A cozy night in with friends or family is another way I like to spend my summer nights. In New England the weather is often unpredictable. Add a pair of white sneakers to finish the look.

Look Four

In my opinion, the best way to spend the holiday is enjoying the great outdoors. If you are spending the day soaking up the sun, knee deep in the water somewhere- you’ll want to make a splash in this iconic red one piece. One pieces are the new bikini and this classic suit is too good to skip out on. Shown with a pair of blue and white seersucker shorts and fun scrunches, you’ll be the picture of patriotic. I have to say- when I saw scrunchies come back, I wasn’t into it. I liked these because they come as a set and the fabrics can be worn all year long.

I’ve tagged a few more pieces that I think are perfect for a patriotic look. You can check out all the linked items in my “Shop my look” tab or by visiting this link.

However you decided to celebrate, I hope you take the time to enjoy it. Slow down a little, take in the small moments and remember that no matter how crazy things get in our country, there is so much to be thankful for. Wishing you a very safe, fun filled holiday weekend ahead!

Happy Birthday, Miss America!
