Welcome to July! Bring on the red, white and blue outfit options.
I cannot believe that June has already come and gone so soon. For me, June was a whirlwind with tons of work changes. The mundane day to day was very much taking over so venturing into a new month is exactly what I needed. July truly is summer to me because I love celebrating July 4th and vacationing to Cape Code as a family. In true patriotic fashion, it just wouldn’t be right not to share a few pieces that I love that can be worn not only for the fourth but all summer long and beyond.
St. Moriz Color Correcting Mousse
I’ve mentioned many times on my blog that I have and probably always will be trying different sunless tanning options. As someone who is naturally pale and burns easily, I love opting for a sunless tanner. I recently started using this one and i am hooked! I’ve already finished one bottle and ordered a few more. The color pay off, the scent and the way it naturally fades throughout the week makes it a great option. I have tried many and have never gone back to a mousse like this. I’ve fallen in love with using the ultra dark color- trust me, it provides a deep, rich and naturally looking tan. linked here.
Jeweled Sandals
The wide, flat sandal look is back and I love this pair so much. The wider style is comfortable and a bit more casual. The diamond detail helps to elevate them without being too blingy or tacky. I grabbed them in my tts 8 (usually 7.5-8) linked here
Multi- pack necklaces
Gold and silver chain necklaces have made a big comeback and layering them is all the rage. As someone who loves simple jewelry but likes to be a big trendy at times, this pack is an absolute steal. Of course in a big pack like this there are bound to be styles that won’t work (like the snake or butterfly necklace- so not me) there are many different options to pick from. I have this set in gold and silver to wear depending on my outfit. linked here.
Navy Tank
I recently noticed a hole in my wardrobe that needed to be filled. During my work from home days, wearing comfortable basics that can be elevated if necessary is key. Which the hot and humid summer heat in full affect, I find myself grabbing for short sleeves and tanks. I really love the luxe collection at Old Navy and have been enjoying these tanks. They are a bit thicker than their signature modal tops but they have a modest v neck and run slightly big. I grabbed this in a size small. linked here.
High Rise White Cut off Denim
Tis the season for new white denim and Old Navy denim has been a favorite for me over the past few years. Their high rise cropped fit styles suit me best. I really like these because they fit just right, have some stretch and no show through. The unfinished hem is appropriate for most occasions where denim is acceptable. linked here.
No matter what you have planned for the fourth or this summer, these staple pieces will mix and match with many other wardrobe items. I’ll be wearing this to a family cook out and I can’t wait to be comfortable and cute while enjoying good food and even better comapny. Wishing you a happy and safe 4th of July.
Until then,
