Hey!
Let’s pretend I didn’t take 2 months off between posts, ok? My world has been busy with traveling, work and a failing personal life so, yeah- you didn’t miss much!
We’ve been enjoying warmer weather in New England and when the temps heat up, my makeup routine changes a bit. I love going lighter with my products and lately- I’ve been living a little shimmer. Spring and summer beauty is meant to be easy, effortless and should always include and spf!
Let’s dig in, shall we?
Sun Bum SPF Facial Mist | Amazon
I found this product last year and as soon as the weather was warm enough, I pulled it out. Note: I do wear an SPF year round as it is in my daily face moisturizer. In the spring and summer I like to add more due to longer periods of sun exposure. I like this one from Sun Bum because it doesn’t leave a white cast, it can be worn over makeup and it does help to set my face. This product is NOT a setting spray but can be used with or without one. Linked here.
L’Oréal Lumi Glowtion| Amazon
I also found this product last year and have been loving it most recently. I wear this under my foundation for a glowy finish, mixed with my tinted moisturizer for a little less coverage or by itself for a “my skin but lit from within” look. It comes in many shades but the medium one suits me best. Linked here.
Carnival Queen Glow Oil| Sol De Janerio
I’ve been on the hunt for a product like this for weeks. I had tried a few like it from Amazon but after returning all of them- I bit the bullet and got this one. A little goes a long way and it smell incredible. I wanted a glowy product to add overtop my sun kissed (sunless tanner) skin for my chest, arms and legs. This product comes in other shades but they are sold out everywhere! I was hesitant about the pink hue prior to purchase but I really liked this one. Linked here.
Eos Sun Protect Lib Balm| Amazon
I’ve fallen head over heels in love with Eos lip balms since the winter. They are hydrating, come in tons of yummy flavors and the packaging was upgrade to a tube instead of the well known ball shape. I knew I needed the spf sun protect version for my beach bag this summer. The coconut flavor isn’t over powering and the lip balm does not leave behind a white residue like some spf chapsticks. NYX 3 Step Sculpt| Amazon
This is another favorite that I recently moved to the front of my makeup drawer. This palette has everything you need to get the right sculpted makeup look. I like the bronzer for when I’m a bit more tanner, the highlighter is the right amount of sparkle and the lighter powder is great for setting or brightening the face. I also have this palette in the fair shade for when I’m less tanned in the winter. Linked here.
That wraps up this week’s favorites! If you have any questions or comments about the products I shared- feels free to share them in the comments below. I love hearing from you. If you have any requests for suggested Friday fives, send them my way as well.
Until then,
