There is no possible way for something to be for everyone, right?
I mean, don’t answer that because, it’s true.
I thought it might be fun to share a few things that I know are popular on a big scale but are things I just can’t seem to get into.
I don’t like the show Friends. I want to but I just can’t. I like the idea of the characters and their story lines but I can’t get attached to them somehow. My favorite sitcom from this time in TV is Seinfeld.
Harry Potter: I think I am too much of a realist for this stuff. I saw 2 out of the… 45 movies about him and I just don’t understand the appeal. My very best friend is OBSESSED and yet, I have a long standing aversion to giving any more of my time watching it.
Hamilton– This is a combination of too many good things. I love history and theater but when you put them together strung along to rap lyrics- there was too much going on. I was overwhelmed and I had to shut it off early. I can absolutely appreciate the talent that went into it. Fun Fact: i used to love acting in my school’s drama program.
I don’t understand why people idolize Beyonce. Sure, she is talented but there are plenty of talented women. She’s got quite the following so good on her.
The fashion student in me feels that you should know: it is OK to wear white after labor day. At no point was this faux pas mentioned during my undergrad career. Wear what you love- no matter what “rules” there are.
Miscellaneous that need no explanation:
Twizzlers- I love fruity candy but these do not make the list.
Seafood- I have tried- so many times but its definitely the smell.
Hummus- maybe it is a texture thing?
Cats- I am a dog person, through and through…
Running- if there are any tips to change this, comment below!
Honestly, I could go on and on but I’ll save you the details- for now. I am more than certain this will be the first of many. Do you have an unpopular opinion? Share in the comments below!
Until next time,
