When I find something I like- I stick to it like glue. That goes for TV shows too! During Quarantine this year, I have spent my downtime catching new shows and rewatching my favorites. My guess is you’ve done the same. I am sharing a few and my personal summary too.
Enjoy! xoxo
Suits– Amazon Prime *LATEST* Mike Ross takes a leap of faith while working at NYC’s biggest and most successful law firms. He is incredibly gifted but he has a secret and it won’t be smooth sailing. Plus- I am a sucker for well tailored suits.
The Mindy Project– Hulu Mindy Lahiri is a 30 something single OBGYN living in NYC. She’s a hopeless romantic looking for Mr. Right but keeps meeting Mr. Wrong.
Younger- Hulu Liza Miller is a former editor looking to get back into the industry. She’s got big dreams in the Big Apple while carrying an even bigger secret.
The Bold Type- Hulu This one follows the lives of three best friends, living in NYC, working for a top fashion magazine. There is never a dull moment as these ladies balance work and their love lives.
Bridgerton- Netflix Set in the Regency Era in England, this series follows the lives of the Bridgerton Family- a single mother with 8 children. The eldest children are ready to take their hand at marriage and we get a front row seat to watch. The first season is currently available and it was recently renewed for 8 seasons.
The Crown- Netflix For the history buff. This series follows the lives of the British Monarchy. I am told that it is not entirely factual which makes sense- there is no way to possibly know everything.
The Bachelor/ Bachelorette– ABC/Hulu/ Netflix Drama Drama Drama! This is one my guilty pleasures. Long running and many seasons- pick one, any one and dive right in. A man or woman meets and dates 30+ women/men until they find the one. Multiple dates (group and 1:1), destinations all over the world and a possible proposal at the end. Realistic? NO. Entertaining: Absolutely.
In conclusion: I am a hopeless romantic and my heart belongs to NYC. That’s all I’ve got for now. That’s not to say I haven’t loved plenty of other shows over time but these are the the ones in my current rotation. Be sure to check back here again soon- you never know when I’ll add another.
