This week is all about staples for your closet and beauty drawer. Lately, I have found that my mornings are a lot busier than they were in the summer. It’s possible that the chillier it gets, the less appealing it is to jump out of bed (guilty of this). Having clothing and beauty items that are tried and true is a huge time saver. Each of the closing items are petite curvy fashion friendly but could easily work for my taller friends too. The beauty items are longtime favorites for me and cater well to my dry skin. Whether you shop one of them all- they are all budget friendly too!
Petite Friendly Blazer| Amazon
Every so often I get hooked on searching for a specific item. I feel like I may have explained this type of search before but it goes a little something like this:
- I identify something I am missing in my closet
- I search Pinterest for different ways to wear that item
- I search online to find something like that item
- I locate and purchase if the item is reasonably priced
- If I do not locate the item, I do this until I stubble upon it.
The oversized blazer trend has been popular for a few season now. I myself LOVE blazers but tend to purchase tailored ones. Oversized blazer can be very tricky for petite midsize people like me. I searched Amazon and found this one for under $50. The arms are a little longer than I prefer (I’ll roll them up) and the fit is comfortable enough to button without pulling. I ordered a large. Square Neck Bodysuit| Old Navy
I bought this bodysuit over the summer in black and white per usual. I recently repurchased them because somehow I ruined them. I loved them so much because they are double lined and the neckline is so flattering. they fit true to size. Linked here.
Ankle Length Skinny Denim| Old Navy
I have been raving about these jeans for years. As someone who is petite, finding items that are an ankle length inseam always look best. They are my tried and true favorites and if they ever get discontinued- I’ll surely be stocking up. I order them in my true to size and like that they are a cut above my ankle. They look clean and polished- dress them up or down. Linked here.
Fit Me Foundation| Maybelline NY
I have been reaching for this foundation for the entire month of September. I like the lightweight feel, dew finish and that it doesn’t break the bank. I have it in different shades for all times of year. This formulation is perfect for someone like me with dry skin. They also have a matte version for oily skin types too. Linked here.
Contour Palette| NYX Cosmetics
Now that the cooler months are here in Massachusetts, I have been reaching for powder products. Over the summer I liked using the cream blushes and bronzers but this palette helps to set my makeup while giving me a natural contour. The fair shade has a nice cool tone to it that compliments my skin-tone perfectly. Linked here.
All of these items are staples in my life. I use them all year round and love that about them. Having items that you can grab for without hesitation makes getting ready so much easier. Staples also do not need to break your budget. Each of these items are reasonable priced and easy to access.
