It’s the most wonderful time of the year! One of my most loved posts was one about small ways I spruce up my work from home space. I love decorating for the holidays but I must admit, it is a tad bit early for me to pull our my Christmas tree. Finding subtle ways to bring i the holiday spirit while still allowing Thanksgiving to have it’s moment is my current plan of action. Whether you are looking to slowly bring in the season or ways to update your office decor, these items are not only for the home but could be used for your office workspace too. Here are a few ways I am easing my home (work from home space) into the holiday season.
From a previous post: “If you have been reading my blog for a while you may know that I work from home full time and have for almost 4.5 years. It was hard for me to type out that little factoid- it’s so hard to believe! Creating a space in which I like to work and live is always on my mind. Being smart and thoughtful of the items I bring into my space means they need to be purposeful, multiuser and going to be enjoyed often. You’ll find many of my favorite items are available on Amazon. For more work from home must have items- check this post. “
Gold Reindeer| Target
It was love at first sight when I noticed this charming reindeer on the Target.com. I love adding touches of gold into my decor all year round but especially at the holidays. My holiday color palette is mainly black and white with a touch of gold, red and hunter green. You’ll see that often throughout this post. I love the idea of perching this little guy (or gal?) on my shelves, a coffee table or mantle. Linked here.
Green Plaid Throw| Target
When it comes to functional home decor like a throw blanket, I shy away from bold prints and colors. I love neutrals the exude a more timeless clean feel. When I saw this blanket, I was a bit caught by surprised for how much I liked it. The shades of green and camel make this a timeless piece for this time of year. It will be loved for years to come and will spruce up my space a little against the current neutrals. Linked here.
Decorative Trees| Target
If you are in search of house plants or greenery for your space and haven’t checked Target, you are truly missing out on a good thing. I have many from there and have been very impressed with them. These trees are sold separately with allows you the opportunity to find the one that fits best in your space. I love the 10″ one for more shelving decor options. This would make the cutest mini desk tree for your at home or in office work space. Tree linked here. Mini ornaments linked here.
Ornament Candle | Nordstrom
I rarely buy candles. I saw and smelled this one on a recent girls day at Nordstroms and left without it. When I tell you I thought about that candle for weeks before buying it- I am not exaggerating.
Do I think $32 is a lot for a candle? yes.
Do I Think this would make a beautiful hostess gift? yes- you will absolutely see this appear on a gifting list later this month.
Would this candle holder make the most adorable candy dish when empty? Yes, which was a big selling point for getting more mileage out of yet another this on this list. The scent smells like the most perfect Christmas tree. I have never had a real Christmas tree so having a Balsam candle this time of year is a must. Linked here.
Tree Throw Pillow| Target
The simplicity of this pillow is so attractive to me. I love the textures and how it makes a statement without being too much. This is perfect for fall decor, holiday and in the winter months to follow. I love getting more mileage out of a pillow like this- adds value in my opinion. Linked here.
Whether you are ready for the holiday season or taking your time like me, I hope you find these items on your favorites list like me. I love finding small ways to change up my space without breaking the bank and feeling like every inch of my home is Santa’s workshop. Finding thoughtful ways to update my work from home decor is important- creating an environment for which you live and work can be hard to balance. I can’t wait to see how these items transition from fall, to holiday and into the snowy winter months here in Massachusetts.
